Yesterday I played in Manchester at The Marriott Worsley Park in The Overbury Pro Am. Overbury is a fit out and refurbishment specialist working in offices, retail, leisure, education and technology, with five offices throughout the UK.

So after meeting up with my team, we teed off at 1.20 with the sun shining and the breeze blowing. I started off by rolling in an 18 footer for birdie on the 1st, I followed this up with a 25 footer for another birdie on the 3rd. I went onto make another birdie on 5 after nearly holing my approach. So I was -3 through 5 holes, the birdies then dried up and I made 5 pars in a row. A bogey on the 11th after missing the green, knocked the momentum slightly but I made birdie on the next to get going in the right direction again. A birdie on 14 was followed up by a 3 putt bogey on 15 and I was back to -3 for the round. After a par on 16, I drove the short par 4 17th and two putted for birdie and finished the round off with another two putt birdie on the par 5 18th.

I finished up shooting -5 66 and this was good enough for a 3 shot win. My game was fairly solid, hitting 17 greens showed this and it was also good to hole three putts over 15 feet for birdies. It was also nice for my team to finish in 3rd place and pick up a nice prize each.
