Today I played in the Liverpool Alliance at Frodsham Golf Club in Cheshire and after a heavy overnight frost, conditions were extremely tough. Having to land wedges short of the green and hope they bounce up the right amount made things interesting. I played solidly enough to shoot 74, holing out solidly for the most part and hitting onto the correct sides of the fairways to leave a clear approach into the greens. I managed 2 birdies, 4 bogies and a double after hitting what I thought was a good drive down the fairway, the ball was never seen again.
My score today was good enough for a 2 shot win in the individual and a 3 shot win in the team with my partner of the day Alan Naismith playing well just at the right times.
