Monday saw me play an 1836 Tour at Lancaster which is a very good golf course with excellent greens, fast and true. I shot 78 (+7) which was disappointing although I hit the ball well for most of the round. Not really hitting any destructive shots but in very high winds anything not quite on target was punished. The round got away from me after a solid start being level par through 8 holes, then twice miss judging the wind resulting in two double bogeys.

It was a disappointing day for both the Tour and the players as we were hit with a 3 hour rain delay half way through the first round of what was supposed to be a 36 hole event. Everything was done possible to complete the full event but 18 holes was all that could be achieved.
